Dear Dr. Happel,

I can't believe the change in my life since I have been having laser hair removal at your office. My outlook and my self-confidence have never been higher and I am no longer ashamed or embarrassed about this hair growth. I have never been able to look in a mirror without this constant reminder on my chin and face that there was something different about me.

I first noticed hair growth on my face when I was a teenager. It was a very uncomfortable and painful experience for me when I first noticed these hairs growing in places that they shouldn't be. GOSH how I would have given anything just to make it go away - ANYTHING!

At first I would carry a razor in my purse and would shave a couple times every day, and after a while my mother suggested electrolysis. OUCH. After one session of that torture, I gave up and never went back. I still have some scars in the area that they worked on. So it was back to the razor.

Later, I tried plucking, tweezing, waxing and even sugaring but the hair always came back and I swear as time went on it got thicker and thicker. I became afraid of doing anything for fear of making it worse.

Then my closest friend, Angela who was a patient of yours who had laser hair removal last year at your office, told me about her experience. I jumped at the chance never looked back. I couldn't believe how easy it was!

It was truly a miracle!!! My life has changed thanks to you and your wonderful staff, Sharon and Lauren, who were sooooo nice and I can't forget your wife, Niki.

Thank you all for your kindness and genuine caring. I will never forget you and will recommend you to all of my friends and relatives!!!

Sincerely,
Jennifer Carano

Dear Dr. Happel,

I am writing to let you know how pleased I am with the recent phlebectomy that you did on my right leg. When you took the bandages off last week, I couldn't help crying. Let me explain why I cried.

As you know, I had another procedure done on the opposite leg just two years ago by a surgeon who was referred by my primary care doctor. That procedure resulted in twelve scars 2 1/2 inches long all over my thigh and lower leg. I've tried everything to get rid of these horrible scars including cocoa butter, vitamin E cream, sun tanning, fake tan and even make-up but nothing helps.

When I looked at the tiny puncture holes that you made to remove my veins through, there was no comparison. The fact that you do this procedure every day helps to explain the difference. It is easy to imagine that these tiny pinhole dots will be totally gone in a month, as you told me. I can't believe that you totally removed the veins through these punctures while the other doctor told me that he only tied them off (and many of the veins that he tied off have already come back).

My only regret is that I didn't find you earlier before that other doctor left these railroad-track, Frankenstein scars all over my leg. I will have the rest of my life and these ugly scars to always remind me to research these kinds of things in more detail first.

PLEASE Doctor Happel, let other doctors who are referring patients with varicose veins, especially primary care doctors, know what is possible with your techniques. Until my friend, Lisa, told me about you I refused to have the veins in my other leg fixed, even though it ached so badly.

We are so lucky to have you so close to home when many people have to come from out of state for the benefit of your knowledge, skill and experience.

I can't believe the difference it makes in which doctor you go to. To help prevent this from happening to another unsuspecting person, I would like you to publish this letter for anyone considering the treatment of large varicose veins. Thank you and your staff for your kindness and great results!

Sincerely,
Jenna Richardson
