Photofacial Treatments for the Face

These treatments can dramatically help improve your facial appearance and successfully eliminate these imperfections.
The full face can usually be treated in less than thirty minutes. In order to obtain optimal results, it is recommended that three to five sessions be done at approximately three week intervals. It is most useful when directed onto broken facial vessels and works best on the small capillaries located on the nose and cheeks. It is noninvasive and the skin does not have to be punctured with needles or fine wires like with radio frequency treatments that have recently become popular. A major advantage is the lack of downtime in your life. Temporary swelling and bruising can occur but is unusual.
PhotoFacials are proven effective in the treatment of rosacea. Rosacea, a condition often diagnosed by dermatologists, can cause your face to become flushed and reddened. No cure for rosacea currently exists but PhotoFacials can diminish your symptoms significantly. Topical steroids, antibiotics, creams or other prescription medications and are sometimes prescribed by other doctors first but often have with little or no benefit.
Photofacials are safe and effective in experienced hands and there are few contraindications. Anyone taking Accutane should not receive Photofacials for a period of months after discontinuing this medication.
